FAQ
It’s hard to admit that I’m not enjoying this part of my ministry in the way that I used to. Does anyone else - such as a bishop, judicatory leader, vestry or church board - have to know about our consultations?
Absolutely not. All consultations are held in strict confidence.
What if I think I need therapy or spiritual direction?
Then by all means seek them out locally. Sunday Consultations can be carried out in conjunction with them, but do not substitute for them.
I’m having a crisis of faith, or I’m afraid I might no longer have a call to ordained ministry. Can you help?
Sunday Consultations are not designed for such situations. However, if after our consultations you still get little or no satisfaction from leading public worship, you may decide that this is a sign that you need to probe such questions more deeply.
I feel as though I could use your services, but I don’t serve in a liturgical church. Can you help me anyway?
That depends. Sunday Consultations are designed primarily for clergy in liturgical churches (Episcopal, Lutheran, Roman Catholic, etc.) who use a specific text and structure for worship. If your services make use of a script or text for a major portion of the time, we may be able to help. Otherwise, probably not. You can always use our free initial consultation to explore this question.
I’m trying to figure out if it’s time for me to move to another ministry setting. Are Sunday Consultations for me?
No.
How are your fees established?
Fees are largely hourly after a free initial consultation. Consultations can be done over the phone, via web video-conferencing, or in person. Any travel costs for in-person consultations are of course additional. All fees will be quoted up front, along with an estimate of how much consultation time may be needed for your situation. Fees are assessed on an as-you-go basis, and you may cancel at any time.
